CADflow Desktop App v2.3.2 is Here! Boost Efficiency with Smart Tools

Written by Team CADflow | Mar 20, 2026 10:10:36 PM

We’re excited to kick off 2026 with a major CADflow Desktop App release focused on speed, control, and automation for dental labs. This update introduces a fully customizable file-suffixing system that makes it effortless to track exactly which files have been processed by CADflow. By appending clear, consistent identifiers (like _CADflow) directly to your output filenames, you can streamline case management, eliminate extra clicks, and maintain a clean, traceable link between input and processed files, removing thousands of unnecessary clicks across thousands of entries for some labs.

You’ll also get our first release of automatic removable die generation, a new composable “Upload Checklist” workflow for smarter profile management, refreshed metal parameters, and a streamlined configuration experience, together delivering a faster, more automated, and more scalable CADflow experience for your team.

🎛 File Suffixing

  • File Suffixing: if you've been manually renaming files after CADflow processing, we've got the update for you.
    • Fully customizable option to add strings (e.g., _CADflow, _Processed) to your output .stl filenames.

🔍 The "Upload Checklist" & Composable Modifiers

  • New advanced interface accessible via the dropdown on the Upload Cases button to apply Modifiers to specific cases and avoid sorting each individual case into a new profile when only one (or a few) parameters need to be adjusted.
  • Modifiers: Create stackable parameter sets (e.g., "Heavy Blockout," "Extra Height," or "Tight Retention") to drastically reduce your total number of primary profiles.

🦷 Brand New Features

  • Automatic Removable Die Generation (Beta)
    • New extraction tool for full-arch or quadrant scans.
    • Auto-Identify: The system can automatically identify the prep site and produce a removable die.
      • Crop to Distance: Optional setting to crop the model to a specific distance from the prep site (defaults to 15mm)

🦷 Revised Metal Parameter Form

  • Refreshed UI for more flexible parameter combinations and new features.
  • Expanded support for Bar & Bondable extensions and addition of parameter control for buccal extensions in parameter profile forms.
  • Added support for Ditching and expanded slider controls on the returned model with metal appliance.

🎛 Refreshed Configuration Menu

  • Simplified tabbed navigation with new tooltips and real-time output file examples.

🔍 Inspector

  • Redone Trimpath Editing and "Drawing" feature for .pts trimpaths ✍️
    • New click-and-drag functionality allows you to "draw" a path continuously versus previously adjusting individual points.
    • New strokes are smoothly incorporated into the existing trimpath.
    • Improved Path Drag editing with adjustable Radius, and Falloff.
  • Intaglio Surface Freezing ❄️
    • New toggle located in the Material Settings (teardrop icon) menu.
    • Locks the intaglio surface during splint and nightguard sculpting to prevent accidental mesh corruption.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Enhancements

  • Label Extraction: Resolved an issue affecting label placement and accuracy.
  • Various small bug fixes and general performance enhancements.

🔭 Coming Soon to CADflow

We’re already testing new features for the next release:

  • Space Mouse Support in the Inspector.
  • Improved Parameter/Modifier Editing Experience for faster profile management.
  • Additional Heatmap & Stats Display in the Inspector.
  • Scanner Portal Integrations for a more seamless data workflow.
